All routes are on peaceful farm-to-market paved rural roads, and lightly traveled, full-shouldered, state highways. The hills are gently rolling, the scenery is beautiful, and the local folks are just plain friendly. Frequent rest stops are well-stocked with frozen peaches, homebaked cookies, popsicles, peanuts and fresh fruit. Also water and sports drinks. The Melon Patch Tour is well known for its rest stops. All-you-can-eat watermelon and ice cream bars at the Finish Line ! Drawings are available at each rest stop for hundreds of prizes. The De Leon Study
Club will be serving a Spaghetti Lunch at the finish area. Pre-registration
